In conjunction with the Abia state ministry of trade and investment and the state ministry of industries, a collaborative framework was built to deliver a platform which will provide adequate information for the general public and investors about Abia state. It will provide opportunities for the private sector, international
development partners and development finance institutions to identify
opportunities in Abia state. The state has demonstrated firm commitment to
achieving rapid industrialization. Together with the Abia state one-stop shop commissioned by the Ikpeazu administration, our aim is to ease the process of
establishing business within the state.

ABOUT ABIA STATE
Abia is a state in south eastern Nigeria. The capital city is Umuahia. “Abia” is an acronym formed from the initial letters of four groups of people, namely: Aba, Bende, Isuikwuato and Afikpo.
Abia has a wealth of natural endowments which enhance its industrialisation potential, these include its people, vegetation, agricultural, mineral, and other resources.

Abia is one of the oil producing states in Nigeria with active oil and gas exploration and production in the southern parts
of the state. Other minerals (non-oil, non-gas) are also being exploited in other parts of the state. Notable among these are
the limestone and glass sand deposits.
Abia is traversed by major Trunk A roads (A3 and A342). There is also a good
network of roads interconnecting the main towns. Abia is home to
Aba, one of the key commercial centres and industrial hubs of Nigeria.
