A special Purpose Vehicle by the name Enyimba Economic City Development Company Limited (EECD GROUP) has been set-up for the development of the new city

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The project Enyimba Economic City which would be developed over an area of approximately 9803 ha, spanning three (3) local government areas of Ukwa west and East as well as Ugwunagbo LGA’s with an initial start-up phase of approximately 1800 ha will achieve the underlisted:

  • Create an economic hub that is central to the nine (9) Southeast and Southsouth states, linked by  road access, rail, airports and seaports.
  • Aggregate different compartive factor edowments of the local level, state, regional and national level that will transform the hub into a manufacturing power house, commercial and other destinations of the regions.
  • Target manufacturing capacity transfer from local markets especially from places where labour costs advantage is declining 
  • Energize and entice local industries that have suffered due to infrastructural deficit and operative environment to relocate to the new economic hub.
